2023 - Trainee as a geomatics technician - we are hireing!

The company:

GeoFly GmbH is one of the leading aerial photography companies in Germany, based at the Business Airport in Magdeburg. In specially converted aircraft and with our high-performance technical camera equipment, we implement regional and international aerial photography projects. The captured image data is processed and analysed at our photogrammetric stations. In doing so, our team of pilots, camera operators and engineers work hand in hand to successfully implement the individual image flight projects.

Training:

Training as a geomatics technician takes place over 3 years. We require at least a good secondary school leaving certificate - or a higher qualification. The practical part of the training takes place in our company and also partly in partner companies (regional). The theoretical training takes place at the BbS "Otto von Guericke" in Magdeburg. A driving licence for class B (passenger car) would be desirable.

The job description:

Training as a geomatics technician is very multifaceted. The raw data collected by aerial photography is processed on the computer using special software, analysed and prepared accordingly for the customer. Of course, our trainees are also instructed in and familiarised with the technical equipment used in flight operations. Training takes place not only in the office, but also in the aircraft above the clouds.
