Topography analysis

Topographic analyses provide precise terrain data as a basis for planning, monitoring and sustainable decisions.

Topography analysis overview

  • Creation of high-resolution digital terrain models (DTM) and CAD analyses
  • Airborne LiDAR flights for precise altitude information
  • Change analysis through regular re-flights
  • 3D modeling and terrain simulation
  • Integration into GIS, CAD and BIM systems
  • Integration into other planning tools, such as FM profile

Applications of topography analysis

  • Infrastructure and transport planning (roads, bridges, railways)
  • Energy and supply networks (route planning, pipeline construction)
  • Raw materials industry (open-pit mining, volume calculation, safety monitoring)
  • Urban and regional planning (building areas, flood protection)
  • Environmental monitoring (erosion control, vegetation analysis, renaturation)

Detailed topography analysis

During our aerial surveys, state-of-the-art LiDAR and camera systems capture the topography with the highest accuracy. Depending on the requirements, CAD models are created in various formats, providing precise information about terrain features, buildings, vegetation, and other topographic elements. Our CAD models can be directly imported into route planning tools such as FM-Profil.

Regular re-flights also enable change detection – the recognition of even the smallest changes over time, for example due to construction work, erosion or subsidence.

The data collected can be directly integrated into existing GIS, CAD, or BIM environments, thus providing a reliable basis for planning, monitoring, and documentation. This creates a digital representation of reality, making complex projects more efficient, safer, and more sustainable.
